Rizen Creative is an intentionally small, digital marketing agency that helps underdogs compete and win in their respective industry spaces. Their focus is integrated branding, user experience, interface and website design.
I was tasked with creating a more visual digital story based on the idea of showing vs. telling. Rizen asked me to build a site that showed the versatility of the company's skill set with less words and more visually compelling assets.
In order to achieve the goal, I reconfigured the information architecture, reduced top level navigation and interior page links, updated all site case studies, incorporated new photography, and focused the design on three key areas:
I based design decisions on previous user data collected from Google Analytics and Hotjar and a variety of SEO/SEM resources. Wireframes were created on whiteboards in early phases and further refined in Sketch and Marvel. High fidelity designs for all pages were built in Sketch and eventually migrated to Webflow for front-end development via a series of sprints. Once the site was completed in Webflow, I exported all HTML, CSS, Javascript and imagery assets, packaged and delivered to a development team to be integrated into a CMS called Umbraco.
